Conformity can be defined as changes that occur in human behavior due to either implicit or explicit social pressures (Gleitman, Gross, & Reisberg, 2011). Very often Groups use peer pressure to subtly encourage conformity, and because of our innate human desires to be liked and belong to a group, many go along with group decisions, even if they knew it would be a wrong decision.
